As we look back and view the progress made by the School during last year, both in scholastic and sporting achievements, we feel sure that we could have done better; yet this very fact should only stimulate us to further effort in the future. For if each member of the School bear in mind that "nothing can be obtained or achieved except by hard work," then the School can do naught else but advance, not only in the realm of intellect, but also in that of sport.
(The same issue records that the celebration of the School Jubilee — the School's fiftieth anniversary — was to take place early in July 1920.)
The President for 1919–20 was Mr. R. M. King (an "ex-President" by late 1920). At the 1920 Annual General Meeting Mr. A. D. Graham was elected President for 1920–21; Mr. J. G. Nowlan continued as Hon. Secretary & Treasurer. Post-war commemoration continued: a framed copy honouring the veterans was presented, and the President spoke of the appeal for the War Memorial (a start to be made if £850 could be raised by the next Foundation Day).

No award. The Reginald Heber Roe Memorial Bursary had not yet been founded (first award 1933).

In this era, an Old Boy's year designation was the year he entered Grammar; the convention today is the year he finished. A boy who started in 1993 and finished in 1997 was (93) but is now '97.
