In 2021, Old Boys Alastair Blenkin '08 and Tim Rogers '08 founded ProcurePro, a construction procurement platform that centralises and streamlines the management of subcontractors and suppliers, purpose-built for the industry.
As many countries grapple with housing and infrastructure shortages, few industries are as critical or complex as construction. The software enables contractors to manage projects from start to finish, covering everything from budget tracking to supply chain management.
CEO Alastair now works with companies using the platform across more than 6,000 construction projects worldwide, representing more than $130 billion in construction value. Tim, Head of Product, brings a decade of experience as a construction administrator and project manager at Hutchinson Builders, working on multimillion-dollar hotels and apartments around Brisbane.
The company employs more than 100 people and operates in Australia, the UK and the Middle East, and is expanding into North America. It recently announced a $15 million capital raise that valued the company at more than $100 million. But for the pair, financial milestones are not the measure of success; they want to improve how social infrastructure is delivered for the greater good.
"Our mission of saving one billion construction admin hours hits personally for me, because I lived the version of the job we are trying to fix," Tim said.
"The ability to be having a positive impact on trying to speed up construction and make construction easier.. I think gives you a sense of purpose," Alastair said.
