Stephen Bizzell '84, elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1 January 2026.

Accomplished Old Boys Stephen Bizzell '84 and Stephen Moore '00 have stepped into the roles of Chairman and Deputy Chair of the Brisbane Grammar School Board of Trustees, alongside incoming Trustee Professor Robina Xavier.

Stephen Bizzell '84 has served as a Trustee since 2020. He was appointed Deputy Chair in 2024, before being elected Chairman with effect 1 January 2026, succeeding former Chair Warren Traves ['82]. He has founded, built and led several businesses in Australia and internationally in the energy, resources and financial services sectors, including Arrow Energy, Stanmore Resources, Bow Energy and Diversa, and has served as Chair or director of 17 stock exchange listed companies. He is currently Executive Chairman of a corporate advisory and funds management business and Chairman of Maas Group Holdings. His father, brother and two eldest sons are also Old Boys.

Stephen Moore '00 was elected Deputy Chair in January, having joined the Board in 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from The University of Queensland and has built a career spanning finance, insurance, elite sport and community service, currently as Managing Director of BMS Group and a director of Stadiums Queensland. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019 and enjoyed a 15-year career in professional sport, including as Captain of the Wallabies.
