Home · Stories · Geoff Clarke '64 — Selfless Service to BGS

From the archive · Grammar News Winter 2019.

Old Boy and past parent Geoff Clarke '64 and his wife Shirley have volunteered hundreds of hours to School and OBA activities over 25 years. Their son Scott graduated in 1999, and they have three grandsons expected to attend.

Like his Old Boy father, Morris '39, Geoff is a Life Member of the BGS Old Boys' Association. Through the family construction business, TC Clarke and Sons, Geoff and Shirley have sponsored several School and BGSOBA events, and Geoff has contributed his professional skills to the Outdoor Education program at Moogerah. Today he gives his time to the BGSOBA and the Moogerah Support Group. He became OBA President in 2003 and served the maximum three years. Still on the committee, he is a regular fixture at the Annual Reunion Dinner and mans the BGSOBA stall at BGS Open Days.

The BGS Board of Trustees recognised Geoff's 'selfless service' to the School in 2011 with the Betty Howell Award.
