For the second successive year a graduating BGS student has been accepted to Oxford University. Xavier Redmond received an offer to study law, after 2015 graduate Andy Wang '15 began a philosophy, politics, and economics course there last year. Redmond was successful in gaining a place at Magdalen College.
During a busy final year he captained the championship-winning Queensland debating team, travelled to Berlin to compete with the Australian team, won a national championship with the BGS mooting team, and represented the School in the national Youth Model United Nations grand finals.
Redmond said listening to the BGS 2015 Speech Day address by the Honourable Justice Patrick Keane AC, also an alumnus of Magdalen College, confirmed his goal to attend Oxford.
