The Association
OBA Office-Bearers, 2000 [p. (OBA section)]
- President: David Laidlaw (56)
- Vice-President: Geoff Clarke (61) (later OBA President in 2003)
- Secretary: Michael Bishop (76)
- Treasurer: Adolfs Lacis (57)
- Patron (from October 2000): the Headmaster, Dr. Peter Lennox (who accepted the invitation to be Patron of the BGSOBA). (Historical note: Dr. Lennox is understood to have had a relatively standoffish relationship with the OBA, which makes his acceptance of the Patron role in 2000 a notable thawing — a small but telling moment in the School–Association relationship.)
